The A.S. Coastal Fund is a student supported, student led funding organization whose mission is to protect, enhance and restore the greater UCSB coastline through preservation, education, open access, research, and restoration.

Photo Contest 2008-2009!

Send in your favorite pictures that you have taken of or at the beach and send them to cyanpei@umail.ucsb.edu!

Deadline is March 30th and Winners will be announced April 30th!

In addition to the prizes, first and second place winnerÕs photos will be the images for our new magnets!

You can send as many photos as you want as long as they are your own! Please include contact information, and if you want, a short description and title.

JOB OPENINGS AND INTERNSHIPS FALL 2008

The Coastal Fund as a variety of exciting paid internships and job openings with local environmental groups that have received CF funding. Check Listing.

$138,759.76 FUNDED SPRING 2008

The Coastal Fund received a total of 23 applications requesting $318,439.72 Spring Funding Cycle. With the passage of the Students Initiative, the student Board of Directors was able to award a total of $138,759.76 to projects and programs that best fit the Coastal Fund Mission and Principals.

Coastal Service Program

Participate in coastal service and receive up to $150 for student group participation. Activities include beach and street clean ups, restoration and tree planting.
